Refuting’ convert2islam’s misconceptions1:slavery

Answering misconceptions about  Islam 1 (Slavery)

(Why I left Islam )
In the Name of Allaah , the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful. All the praises and thanks be to Allah, the Lord of the 'Alamin .

In this blog post I am going to refute the misconceptions of a man whose youtube name is : ‘convert2Islam’ His name is Neil Littlejohn .He claimed that he has been a Muslim for 16 years, but for the past FEW years ( after becoming Sufi ) he has started to question his’ faith’ about Islam.
I would like you to know that Neil Little-John copies from an anti Islam website, He just copies articles belonging to Sam and so he doesn't come out with anything new
Just to  remind you , few years ago , you  said ‘’ Ten years ago in Canada the year 2000 it was February in winter time, Alhamdu le Allaah  I said my shahaada after studying Islam for 4 months and making Duaa'a( prayer) for guidance from Allaah ‘’

'my motivation  is  the next life , the paradise ...I hope to be saved from the trials of  the grave and the punishment of hellfire'

The Prophet Mohammad (salla Allaahu a'layhe wasallam ) said :

"A man may seem to the people as if he were practising the deeds of the people of Paradise while in fact he is from the people of the fire (Hell ), another may seem to the people as if he were practicing the deeds of the people of Hell (Fire), while in fact he is from the people of Paradise."Reported in Sahih Al Bukhari
It was narrated that Ibn Masu'od said '“Whoever wants to follow an example, let him follow the example of those who have passed away, the Companions of Muhammad (peace be upon him). They were the best of this ummah, the purest in heart, the deepest in knowledge, the least in sophistication. They were people whom Allah chose to be the Companions of His Prophet (peace be upon him) and to convey His religion, so imitate their ways and behaviour, for they were following the Straight Path.”

Let's discuss what he said in his new video ' why I left Islam ' :

1- He said : ‘‘ it is not fair to Muslims to consider me some kind of traitor or sellout  because over all years I tried my best to be FAITHFFUL and loyal to Islam. I did not play games with Islam ‘’

‘‘ while I was defending Islam I had noticed many of criticism were actually valid and based authentic early Islamic sources....... as shocking as it may seem both Mohammad and Quraan  teach that it is permissible  to capture and RAPE female WAR captives ’’

My response : As a faithful Muslim , at least it means that you used to  read the entire Quraan frequently and you could ask yourself those questions in all these years of being a Muslim. As you should have known, many Muslims ( unlike other religions whom they do not even know what their books contain )  read The Noble Quraan from cover to cover in Ramadhan, and some of them memorize it from cover to cover.  It will not be a shock  for them to know about theses Ayats of Quraan  which talk about  Slavery.  Furthermore, you couldn’t even present ALL of the Ayats which mention slavery, curiously, you just presented one of them which is used as ‘argument’ in anti Islam websites. The other Ayats which talk about the slaves'rights you could not talk about them and for that, you cannot blame Muslims who called you ‘ traitor or sellout’. Simply consider this report and understand why some Muslims would blame you:

Aljazeera 'Report:  ' Islamophobia is a multimillion-dollar industry' ‘More than $200m spent on promoting fear and hatred of Muslims in US by various groups between 2008 and 2013.’
'Released on Monday,The report  identifies 74 groups, including feminist, Christian, Zionist and prominent news organisations, which either funded or fostered Islamophobia.'

Just to remind you, the Munaffiqeen (hypocrites)  used to pretend they were Muslims and built the Masjid in Madina and fight along with the Prophet Mohammad – ( prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him).against the Kuffar (disbelievers). As such, do not blame the Muslims for doubting at your insinuations now

2- He said ‘ many times I tried to refute  and expose the anti  -Islam critics  and I made many videos  which I defended Islam and Mohammad – ( prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him).... as I was WELL EDUCATED IN ISLAM ’

My response : You called yourself  ‘well educated in Islam ‘ Let 's see if it was a Valid reason or  just to say 'Muslim apologist left Islam'.I mean or such as a try to say 'Muslim apologist left Islam'

3- He said  while I was defending Islam I had noticed many of criticism were actually valid and based authentic early Islamic sources....... as shocking as it may seem both Mohammad and Quraan  teach that it is permissible  to capture and RAPE female WAR captives even if these women are married  and they’re non Muslims’ husbands  are still alive so let’s investigate Islamic sources to see what they say....

My response : First of all, there is no such thing as early Islamic sources, as the “early” sources are still the “late” sources since there is no change in the sources of Islam. This shows the greatness of Islam compared to other religions. Such expression however can be used in Christianity, as we all well know, there are early Biblical sources which do not correspond to later Biblical sources. This comes to show how “well educated in Islam” you are NOT.

Then he used the following sources as an argument against Islam :

A-The  Noble  Ayah from Surat Al- Nissaa’:
(24. Also (forbidden are) women already married, except those (captives and slaves) whom your right hands possess. Thus has Allaah ordained for you. All others are lawful, provided you seek (them in marriage) withMahr (bridal money given by the husband to his wife at the time of marriage) from your property, desiring chastity, not committing illegal sexual intercourse, so with those of whom you have enjoyed sexual relations, give them their Mahr as prescribed; but if after a Mahr is prescribed, you agree mutually (to give more), there is no sin on you. Surely, Allaah is Ever All-Knowing, All-Wise.)

B- The following Hadith:
Abu Sa’id Al Khudri said “The Messenger of Allaah( prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him)sent a military expedition to Awtas on the occasion of the battle of Hunain. They met their enemy and fought with them. They defeated them and took them captives. Some of the Companions of Messenger of Allaah ( prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him)were reluctant to have relations with the female captives because of their pagan husbands. So, Allaah the exalted sent down the Qur’anic verse “And all married women (are forbidden) unto you save those (captives) whom your right hand posses.” This is to say that they are lawful for them when they complete their waiting period.’ (Sunan Abi Dawud . Authenticated by Al-Albani)

My response : Before answering your question, let me ask you  two questions, the first one :Is this the Biggest proof against Islam that led  you to leave Islam?
My second question is : What is your religion now? Did you become atheist?
I would like to know so I can answer you properly. I would like to know your sources. If you became Jewish or Christian christian then I can use your bible, but supposing that you are an Atheist, so all what you are talking about here are’ morals, reasons, and logic’.
You do not have the right to talk about Morals, do you know why ?
Because according to Atheists point of ’ view’ there is no good or evil, wrong or right ‘ for that  ‘the morals do not exist .‘ good, bad, evil, morals’ are not physical things ! as atheist you just believe in physical things and material world such as matter .You do not believe in morals because they  are  not  physical things. you can not even prove that you have ‘mind’ ! all what you can say  it is electrochemical activity . As they said ‘ from  Atheism  perspective : rape is just propagation of Gens.' So do not complain against ‘evil ‘! if a man sleep with his mother in a physical world , which does not believe in metaphysics ,it is  considered neither bad nor good.
We are just flying atoms without any purpose and this is clear from the morals of the Soviet.
The economist :( The Devil's in the deterrent :GOVERNMENTS labouring to deliver effective crime-prevention policies could do worse than consider divine deterrence. In a paper published this summer in PLoS ONE, Azim Shariff at the University of Oregon and Mijke Rhemtulla at the University of Kansas compared rates of crime with rates of belief in heaven and hell in 67 countries. Citizens of those countries were asked which of heaven and hell they believed in, and each country’s overall "rate of belief" was calculated by subtracting the percentage of hell-believers from that of heaven-believers. The researchers found that the degree to which each country’s citizens believed more strongly in heaven than in hell predicted higher national crime rates. It seems that believing more strongly in the forgiveness of sins than in punishment in the after-life may help pave the way for further transgressions. The researchers also noted that the proportion of people believing in heaven almost always outweighed the proportion believing in hell. So a little more preaching on the fiery furnace might be beneficial in this life, if not also the next....)

Huffingtonpost :(MUSLIMS GIVE MORE TO CHARITY THAN OTHER RELIGIOUS GROUPS, NEW RESEARCH SUGGESTS.
AT ALMOST £371 EACH, MUSLIMS TOPPED THE POLL OF RELIGIOUS GROUPS THAT GIVE TO CHARITY.

WHEN THEY DONATED LAST YEAR, ATHEISTS AVERAGED £116, THE TIMES REPORTED (£).

THE ICM POLL FOUND THAT JEWISH DONORS GAVE AN AVERAGE OF £270 PER PERSON.

ROMAN CATHOLICS AVERAGED JUST OVER £178, CHRISTIANS JUST UNDER £178 AND PROTESTANTS £202.
ACCORDING TO THE POLL OF 4,000, CARRIED OUT IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE JUSTGIVING WEBSITE, NEARLY FOUR IN 10 ATHEISTS DID NOT DONATE AT ALL, COMPARED TO THREE IN TEN MUSLIMS, CATHOLICS AND OTHER CHRISTIANS, NEARLY THREE IN TEN PROTESTANTS AND MORE THAN FOUR IN TEN JEWISH PEOPLE.)

Now, let us discuss what you have copied :

A-’(24. Surely, Allaah is Ever All-Knowing, All-Wise.)’

About' Rape' I cannot see the word 'Rape' here ! do you see it ? I am challenging you giving me any Islamic Authentic sources ( from Quraan and Sunnah not form thousand and one night and not from a  story of bad muslim ) proves that it is allowed to 'Rape' the captive female in Islam.

Wait a moment !

what about this :’ 33…. And force not your maids to prostitution, if they desire chastity, in order that you may make a gain in the (perishable) goods of this worldly life. But if anyone compels them (to prostitution), then after such compulsion, Allaah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful (to those women, i.e. He will forgive them because they have been forced to do this evil action unwillingly).’’ Suratu An-Nur’

So you have bean a Muslim for 16 years and you have not read this ayah before! true faithful Muslim!

I am going to write the full response but tell me, why are you blind about the following Ayats :

1- Oh “ well-educated in islam” , are you blind about  this Ayah from the same Surah, Al-Nisaa :

‘36. Worship Allaah and join none with Him in worship, and do good to parents, kinsfolk, orphans, Al-Masakin(the poor), the neighbour who is near of kin, the neighbour who is a stranger, the companion by your side, the wayfarer (you meet), and those (slaves) whom your right hands possess. Verily, Allaah does not like such as are proud and boastful;’

2- Oh” well-educated in islam” ,what about Mokaatabah ? Was this popular before prophet Mohammad’s mission ?
’’ 33. And let those who find not the financial means for marriage keep themselves chaste, until Allaah enriches them of His Bounty. And such of your slaves as seek a writing (of emancipation), give them such writing, if you know that they are good and trustworthy. And give them something yourselves out of the wealth of Allaah which He has bestowed upon you. And force not your maids to prostitution, if they desire chastity, in order that you may make a gain in the (perishable) goods of this worldly life. But if anyone compels them (to prostitution), then after such compulsion, Allaah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful (to those women, i.e. He will forgive them because they have been forced to do this evil action unwillingly).’’ Suratu An-Nur

3- Oh “ well-educated in islam” , was this popular before prophet Mohammad’s mission ?

‘11. But he has made no effort to pass on the path that is steep.
12. And what will make you know the path that is steep?
13. (It is) Freeing a neck (slave, etc.)  Suratu Al-Balad

B- Did you not know that when the Noble Quraan was sent to prophet Mohammad in many countries all over the world slavery was practised. If there is a war people were enslaved, raped and killed without discrimination. There were otherways of taking someone as a slave, people under extreme poverty, by kidnapping or according to their race. Islam contradicted these last three ways and organized the slavery in war and gave to the slaves rights which no one at that time could have given them.

Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "Allaah says, 'I will be against three persons on the Day of Resurrection: -1. One who makes a covenant in My Name, but he proves treacherous. -2. One who sells a free person (as a slave) and eats the price, -3. And one who employs a laborer and gets the full work done by him but does not pay him his wages ‘Al Bukhary nd it was considered Authentic by him  , But Al Albani said ‘ it is weak’.

Furthermore, Slavery is NOT compulsory in Islam whether in the time of Prophet Mohammad or in modern days. As you know, Islam defends the excellence of character of the Muslims. In a war situation, when there are war captives they can be exchanged or freed. The unruled slave trade all over the world has just finished some centuries ago but Islam brought slaves’ right fourteen hundred years ago. I will explain this in detail further on.

I am asking you to give you any verse from the bible asking people to free slaves ?

Let’s look over about slavery in the past and compare the situation with Islamic teachings :

‘The history of the transatlantic slave trade :For more than 2,000 years people in many different parts of the world have forced their fellow humans into slavery. Between about 1500 and 1900, Europeans forcibly uprooted millions of people from throughout West Africa and West Central Africa and shipped them across the Atlantic in conditions of great cruelty.
To refer to the Africans who were enslaved only as 'slaves' strips them of their identity. They were, for instance, farmers, merchants, priests, soldiers, goldsmiths and musicians. They were husbands and wives, fathers and mothers, sons and daughters. They could be Yoruba, Igbo, Akan or Kongolese.
European slavers dispersed them across the Americas to lead lives of degradation and brutality, without thought for their personal lives. Millions died in the process. As a result, people of African descent are spread throughout the Americas and Western Europe. This is called the African Diaspora.’

‘The peoples of West Africa had a rich and varied history and culture long before European slavers arrived. They had a wide variety of political arrangements including kingdoms, city-states and other organisations, each with their own languages and culture.
The empire of Songhai and the kingdoms of Mali, Benin and Kongo were large and powerful with monarchs heading complex political structures governing hundreds of thousands of subjects. In other areas, political systems were smaller and weaker, relying on agreement between people at village level. As in 16th century war-torn Europe, the balance of power between political states and groups was constantly changing.

Art, learning and technology flourished and Africans were especially skilled in subjects like medicine, mathematics and astronomy. As well as domestic goods, they made fine luxury items in bronze, ivory, gold and terracotta for both local use and trade.

West Africans had traded with Europeans through merchants in North Africa for centuries. The first traders to sail down the West African coast were the Portuguese in the 15th century. Later the Dutch, British, French and Scandinavians followed.
They were mainly interested in precious items such as gold, ivory and spices, particularly pepper.

From their first contacts, European traders kidnapped and bought Africans for sale in Europe. However, it was not until the 17th century, when plantation owners wanted more and more slaves to satisfy the increasing demand for sugar in Europe, that transatlantic slaving became the dominant trade.'

‘From about 1500 to about 1865, millions of Africans were enslaved and transported across the Atlantic by Europeans and Americans as a labour force to work, especially on plantations.
Liverpool ships carried about 1.5 million enslaved Africans across on approximately 5000 voyages, the vast majority going to the Caribbean. Around 300 voyages were made to North America - to the Carolinas, Virginia and Maryland.
The ships returned to Europe with goods such as sugar, cotton, coffee and tobacco. Liverpool grew rich on the back of trading in enslaved people.

The resistance of enslaved Africans and the abolitionist movement brought the British slave trade to an end in 1807. However, Liverpool's connections with slavery continued through cotton and other trades that were dependent on slave labour for much of the 19th century.’  ( liverpoolmuseum org )

Compare this to what Gustave Le Bon said about Muslims and how did they treat the so called (slaves):

He wrote in his book (Arab Civilization) :‘’ (p. 459-460):
‘What I sincerely believe is that slavery among the Muslims is better than slavery among any other people, and that the situation of slaves in the east is better than that of servants in Europe, and that slaves in the east are part of the family. Slaves who wanted to be free could attain freedom by expressing their wish. But despite that, they did not resort to exercising this right’ .  Islam Q A

About Gustave Le Bon  from Wikipedia ‘’ Gustave Le Bon (French 7 May 1841 – 13 December 1931) was a French social psychologist, sociologist, anthropologist, inventor, and amateur physicist. He is best known for his 1895 work:The Crowd: A Study of the Popular Mind. His writings incorporate theories of national traits, racial and male superiority, herd behavior and crowd psychology.’’
Selected works : La Civilisation des Arabes (1884) ‘ ( (Arab Civilization)

How did prophet Mohammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم ) asked us to treat them ?

1- Al-Bara' said, A bedouin came and said, 'Prophet of Allah! Teach me an action which will enable me to enter the Jannah.' He said, The question is a broad one, even though you have asked it in only a few words. Free someone. Set a slave free.' He said, 'Are they not the same thing?' 'No,' he replied, 'Freeing someone is setting someone free yourself. Setting a slave free is to contribute to the price of setting him free. Lend an animal for milking which has a lot of milk and treat your relatives kindly. If you cannot do that, then command the good and forbid the bad. If you cannot do that, then restrain your tongue from everything except what is good.( Al-adabulmufrad by Al Bukhay,it was authenticated by Al-Albani)

2-Narrated Al-Ma'rur: At Ar-Rabadha I met Abu Dhar who was wearing a cloak, and his slave, too, was wearing a similar one. I asked about the reason for it. He replied, "I abused a person by calling his mother with bad names." The Prophet said to me, 'O Abu Dhar! Did you abuse him by calling his mother with bad names You still have some characteristics of ignorance. Your slaves are your brothers and Allaah has put them under your command. So whoever has a brother under his command should feed him of what he eats and dress him of what he wears. Do not ask them (slaves) to do things beyond their capacity (power) and if you do so, then help them.' "Al Bukhari

3- Narrated Abu Huraira:The Prophet said, "When your servant brings your meals to you then if he does not let him sit and share the meals, then he should at least give him a mouthful or two mouthfuls of that meal or a meal or two meals, as he has prepared it." Al Bukhari
4- Zadhan Abl Umar reported: I came to Ibn 'Umar as he had granted freedom to a stave. He (the narrator further) said: He took hold of a wood or something like it from the earth and said: It (freedom of a slave) has not the reward evert equal to it, but the fact that I heard Allaah's Messenger (( prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him)) say: He who slaps his slave or beats him, the expiation for it is that he should set him free.’ Muslim

5-Narrated Mu'awiyah ibn Suwayd ibn Muqarrin:
I slapped a freed slave of ours. My father called him and me and said: Take retaliation on him. We, the people of Banu Muqarrin, were seven during the time of the Prophet( prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him)and we had only a female servant. A man of us slapped her. The Messenger of Allaah ( prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him)said: Set her free. They said: We have no other servant than her. He said: She must serve them till they become well off. When they become well off, they should set her free. ‘Sunan Abi Dawud  ( YOU COULD NOT SEE IT!) Sahih (Al-Albani)

Compare it with : Exodus:21 : [20] And if a man smite his servant, or his maid, with a rod, and he die under his hand; he shall be surely punished.
[21] Notwithstanding, if he continue a day or two, he shall not be punished: for he is his money.[22] If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman's husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine.

6-Abu Huraira reported Allaah's Messenger ( prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him)as saying:None of you should say: My bondman and my slave-girl, for all of you are the bondmen of Allaah, and all your women are the slave-girls of Allaah; but say: My servant, my girl, and my young man and my young girl.( Muslim)

7-‘None of you should say: Supply drink to your lord, feed your lord, help your lord in performing ablution, and none of you should say: My Lord. He should say: My chief, my patron; and none of you should say: My bondman, my slave-girl, but simply say: My boy, my girl, my servant’ Muslim

8-‘ I heard Abu-l-Qasim (the Prophet) saying, If somebody slanders his slave and the slave is free from what he says, he will be flogged on the Day of Resurrection unless the slave is really as he has described him. Al-Buklhari

What about Prophet Mohammad ( صلى الله عليه وسلم) ‘s slaves ?

Amr ibn Al-Harith, the brother of Juwayriyyah, the wife of the Prophet, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, said, “When the Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, died he did not leave a dinar or a dirham or a male or a female slave. He left only his white mule, his weapon, and a piece of land which he gave in charity.” Al-Bukhari

Narrated Asma: "No doubt the Prophet ordered people to manumit slaves during the solar eclipse’ Al-Bukhari

What about the bible ?

Please do not take this as a way of insulting Christianity or Judaism OR any religion! I am here to answer the misconceptions !

1-  ([32] And the booty, being the rest of the prey which the men of war had caught, was six hundred thousand and seventy thousand and five thousand sheep,……And thirty and two thousand persons in all, of women that had not known man by lying with him.) Numbers :31: 35

Now let us read from the beginning :

Numbers 31: [15] And Moses said unto them, Have ye saved all the women alive?
[16] Behold, these caused the children of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to commit trespass against the LORD in the matter of Peor, and there was a plague among the congregation of the LORD.[17] Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him.
[18] But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.
[19] And do ye abide without the camp seven days: whosoever hath killed any person, and whosoever hath touched any slain, purify both yourselves and your captives on the third day, and on the seventh day.
[20] And purify all your raiment, and all that is made of skins, and all work of goats' hair, and all things made of wood.
[21] And Eleazar the priest said unto the men of war which went to the battle, This is the ordinance of the law which the LORD commanded Moses;’

And what did the R. Simeon b. Yohai understand from Numbers 31?

let us  read from Jewish sources :

Babylonian Talmud: Tractate Yebamoth ,Yebamoth 60b
It was taught: R. Simeon b. Yohai stated: A proselyte who is under the age of three years and one day is permitted to marry a priest,13  for it is said, But all the women children that have not known man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves,14-  ( HE means numbers 31 which I have mentioned above )  and Phinehas15  surely was with them. And the Rabbis?16  — [These were kept alive] as bondmen and bondwomen.17  If so,18  a proselyte whose age is three years and one day19  should also be permitted! — [The prohibition is to be explained] in accordance with R. Huna. For R. Huna pointed out a contradiction: It is written, Kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him,20

Babylonian Talmud: Tractate Sanhedrin ,Folio 55a
4  — R. Joseph said: Come and hear! A maiden aged three years and a day may be acquired in marriage by coition, and if her deceased husband's brother cohabits with her, she becomes his. The penalty of adultery may be incurred through her; [if a niddah] she defiles him who has connection with her, so that he in turn defiles that upon which he lies, as a garment which has lain upon [a person afflicted with gonorrhoea]’

Babylonian Talmud: Tractate Niddah, Folio 44b
‘MISHNAH. A GIRL OF THE AGE OF THREE YEARS AND ONE DAY MAY BE BETROTHED23  BY INTERCOURSE; IF THE YABAM24  HAD INTERCOURSE WITH HER, HE ACQUIRES HER THEREBY;25  THE GUILT26  OF ADULTERY27  MAY BE INCURRED THROUGH HER,28  AND SHE29  CAUSES UNCLEANNESS TO THE MAN WHO HAD INTERCOURSE WITH HER SO THAT HE IN TURN CONVEYS UNCLEANNESS TO THAT UPON WHICH HE LIES,30
‘GEMARA. Our Rabbis taught: A girl of the age of three years may be betrothed by intercourse; so R. Meir. But the Sages say: Only one who is three years and one day old. What is the practical difference between them? — The school of R Jannai replied: The practical difference between them is the day preceding the first day of the fourth year.35  R. Johanan, however, replied: The practical difference between them is the rule that thirty days of a year are counted as the full year.36An objection was raised: A girl of the age of three years and even one of the age of two years and one day may be betrothed by intercourse; so R. Meir. But the Sages say: Only one who is three years and one day old.’

2-Deuteronomy 21 :  10“When you go out to battle against your enemies, and the LORD your God delivers them into your hands and you take them away captive, 11and see among the captives a beautiful woman, and have a desire for her and would take her as a wife for yourself,12then you shall bring her home to your house, and she shall shave her head and trim her nails. 13“She shall also remove the clothes of her captivity and shall remain in your house, and mourn her father and mother a full month; and after that you may go in to her and be her husband and she shall be your wife. 14“It shall be, if you are not pleased with her, then you shall let her go wherever she wishes; but you shall certainly not sell her for money, you shall not mistreat her, because you have humbled her.

Gill's Exposition of the Entire Bible

And seest among the captives a beautiful woman,.... Whether a virgin, wife, or widow, according to the Jewish writers, even though another man's wife; so Jarchi (c), and Maimonides (d); the marriages of Gentiles being reckoned by the Jews no marriages:

3-Deut. 20 ‘’ 10“When you approach a city to fight against it, you shall offer it terms of peace.11“If it agrees to make peace with you and opens to you, then all the people who are found in it shall become your forced labor and shall serve you. 12“However, if it does not make peace with you, but makes war against you, then you shall besiege it. 13“When the LORD your God gives it into your hand, you shall strike all the men in it with the edge of the sword. 14“Only the women and the children and the animals and all that is in the city, all its spoil, you shall take as booty for yourself; and you shall use the spoil of your enemies which the LORD your God has given you. 15“Thus you shall do to all the cities that are very far from you, which are not of the cities of these nations nearby. 16“Only in the cities of these peoples that the LORD your God is giving you as an inheritance, you shall not leave alive anything that breathes. 17“But you shall utterly destroy them, the Hittite and the Amorite, the Canaanite and the Perizzite, the Hivite and the Jebusite, as the LORD your God has commanded you, 18so that they may not teach you to do according to all their detestable things which they have done for their gods, so that you would sin against the LORD your God.’

But in Islam The prophet said:  'Do not embezzle the spoils; do not break your pledge; and do not mutilate (the dead) bodies; do not kill the children.' Muslim

4- Eph.6:[5] Servants, be obedient to them that are your masters according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as unto Christ;
[6] Not with eyeservice, as menpleasers; but as the servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;
[7] With good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men:’

It is worth pointing out that you do not find any text in the Qur’aan or Sunnah which enjoins taking others as slaves, whereas there are dozens of texts in the Qur’aan and the ahaadeeth of the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) which call for manumitting slaves and freeing them. ‘  Islam Q A

let us discuss the second source that he used it as an argument against Islam (The Hadith drom Sunnan Abi Dawud ):

B- Abu Sa’id Al Khudri said “The  messenger  of Allaah( prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him)sent a military expedition to Awtas on the occasion of the battle of Hunain. They met their enemy and fought with them. They defeated them and took them captives. Some of the Companions of Messenger of Allaah ( prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him)were reluctant to have relations with the female captives because of their pagan husbands. So, Allaah the exalted sent down the Qur’anic verse “And all married women (are forbidden) unto you save those (captives) whom your right hand posses.” This is to say that they are lawful for them when they complete their waiting period.’  ((Sunan Abi Dawud » Book of Marriage (Kitab Al-Nikah)

‘Allaah's Messenger (( prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him)) sent an army to Autas and encountered the enemy and fought with them. Having overcome them and taken them captives, the Companions of Allaah's Messenger (( prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him)) seemed to refrain from having intercourse with captive women because of their husbands being polytheists. Then Allaah, Most High, sent down regarding that:" And women already married, except those whom your right hands possess " (i. e. they were lawful for them when their 'Idda period came to an end).Muslim

My response  : I cannot see the  word’rape’. And Why do you forget what happened in Hunain? Is it not a proof in favour of Prophet Mohammad’s morals?

Narrated Abu Ishaq: From Al-Bara' bin 'Azib who said: A man said to us: 'Did you flee from the Messenger of Allaah ( prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him)O Abu 'Umarah ?' He said: No, By Allaah! I did not flee from the Messenger of Allaah( prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him) but som hasty people fled and (the tribe of) Hawazin assaulted them with arrows. The Messenger of Allaah  was on his white muls, and Abu Sufyan bin Al-Harith bin 'Abdul Muttalib was holding its reigns. The Messenger of Allaah ( prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him)was saying: 'I am the Prophet without lie, I am the son of 'Abdul-Muttalib.' At-Termith ( Aithentic according to Al-Albani ).

And from Book of Sahih Muslim ‘It has been narrated on the authority of Abu Ishaq who said: A man asked Bara' (b. 'Azib): Did you run away on the Day of Hunain. O, Abu Umira? He said: No, by Allaah, The Messenger of Allaah (( prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him)) did not turn his back; (what actually happened was that) some young men from among his companions, who were hasty and who were either without any arms or did not have abundant arms, advanced and met a party of archers (who were so good shots) that their arrows never missed the mark. This party (of archers) belonged to Banu Hawazin and Banu Nadir. They shot at the advancing young men and their arrows were not likely to miss their targets. So these young men turned to the Messenger of Allaah (( prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him)) while he was riding on his white mule and Abu Sufyan b. al-Harith b. 'Abd al-Muttalib was leading him. (At this) he got down from his mule, invoked God's help, and called out: I am the Prophet. This is no untruth. I am the son of 'Abd al-Muttalib. Then he deployed his men into battle array.’

Even at  that hardship time he did not run away! And he called out ‘I am the Prophet. This is no untruth’

Allaah said in the noble Quraan ‘25. Truly Allaah has given you victory on many battle fields, and on the Day of Hunain (battle) when you rejoiced at your great number but it availed you naught and the earth, vast as it is, was straitened for you, then you turned back in flight.26. Then Allaah did send down His Sakinah (calmness, tranquillity and reassurance, etc.) on the Messenger (Muhammad ), and on the believers, and sent down forces (angels) which you saw not, and punished the disbelievers. Such is the recompense of disbelievers.’

Do you know that the Arab used to enslave the women of  their enemies in the war without giving any right to them even killing them?

Is there any Hadith or Ayah saying that it is obligation to Muslims to enslave the women in wars ?And as you see, Islam even organised the dealing with them.

Capture of prisoners during war was the most common way of acquiring slaves. Prisoners would inevitably be captured during any war, and the prevalent custom at that time was that prisoners had no protection or rights; they would either be killed or enslaved. But Islam brought two more options: unconditional release or ransom. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “Thereafter (is the time) either for generosity (i.e. free them without ransom), or ransom (according to what benefits Islam)” [Muhammad 47:4]. During the battle of Badr the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) accepted ransoms from the mushrik prisoners of war and let them go..”Islam Q A

C- Questioning prophet Mohammad ( صلى الله عليه وسلم

My response : first of all , look at his simple life!

Aisha, may Allaah be pleased with her, said, “The family of Muhammad, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, had never satisfied their hunger with barley bread for two consecutive days till the Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, died.” [Agreed upon]
‘Umar ibn Al-Khattab, may Allaah be pleased with him, mentioned what people have got from this worldly life, and said: “I saw the Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, staying a day writhing (of hunger), without finding even a bad kind of date to fill his stomach”. [Muslim]

Utba ibn Ghazwan, may Allaah be pleased with him, said, “I found myself as the seventh amongst the seven who had been along with the Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him. We had nothing to eat but the leaves of hubla (a wild tree) until the corners of our mouths were injured.” Muslim

Aisha, may Allaah be pleased with her, said “The bed mattress of the Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, was made of a leather case stuffed with palm fibres.” Al-Bukhari

Abdullah bin `Umar said, "Allaah's Messenger took hold of my shoulder and said, 'Be in this world as if you were a stranger or a traveler." The sub-narrator added: Ibn `Umar used to say, "If you survive till the evening, do not expect to be alive in the morning, and if you survive till the morning, do not expect to be alive in the evening, and take from your health for your sickness, and (take) from your life for your death." Al-Bukhary

'I heard Khabbab, who had branded his `Abdomen with seven brands, saying, "Had Allaah's Messenger not forbidden us to invoke Allaah for death, I would have invoked Allaah for death. The companions of Muhammad have left this world without taking anything of their reward in it (i.e., they will have perfect reward in the Hereafter), but we have collected of the worldly wealth what we cannot spend but on earth (i.e. on building houses). Al-Bukhary

“A man came to the Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, and said, ‘I am hard pressed by hunger’. He sent to one of his wives. She said, ‘By Him Who has sent you with Truth there is nothing we have but only water.’ He then sent to another and she gave the same reply until all of them gave the same reply, ‘No. By Him Who has sent you with Truth there is nothing we have but only water.” Muslim

Jabir, may Allaah be pleased with her, narrated that the Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, asked his family for condiment. They said: We have nothing with us but vinegar. He asked for it and he began to eat it, and then he said, “What a good condiment Vinegar is”. Jabir said, “I have always loved vinegar since I heard it from the Prophet, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him.” Muslim

Abu Huraira, may Allaah be pleased with him, narrated that the Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, went out (of his house) one day or one night, and there he found Abu Bakr and ‘Umar also, may Allaah be pleased with them. He said, “What has brought you out of your houses at this hour? They said, ‘O Allaah’s Messenger, it is hunger.’ Thereupon he said, ‘By Him in Whose Hand is my life, what has brought you out has brought me out too; get up.’ They got up along with him. They came to the house of an Ansari man, but he was not at home. When his wife saw him (the Prophet) she said, ‘You are most welcome.’ The Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, said to her, ‘Where is so and so?’ She said, ‘He has gone to get some fresh water for us.’ When the Ansari man came and he saw the Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, and his two Companions, he said, ‘Praise be to Allaah, no one has more honorable guests today than I (have).’ He then went out and brought them a bunch of ripe dates, dry dates and fresh dates, and said, ‘Eat some of them.’ He then took hold of his long knife (for slaughtering a goat or a sheep). The Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, said to him, ‘Beware of slaughtering a milk animal.’ He slaughtered a sheep for them and after they had eaten of it and of the bunch and drank, and when they had taken their fill and had been fully satisfied with the drink, the Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, said to Abu Bakr and ‘Umar, ‘By Him in Whose Hand my life is, you will certainly be questioned about this bounty on the Day of judgment. Hunger brought you out of your house, and then you did not return until this bounty came to you.’” [ Muslim ]

‘Urwa narrated that Aisha, may Allaah be pleased with her, said “By Allaah O my nephew! We used to see the crescent, and then the crescent and then the crescent, in this way we saw three crescents in two months and no fire (for cooking) used to be made in the houses of the Messenger off Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him.” ‘Urwa said, “O my aunt! Then what used to sustain you?” She said, “The two black things: dates and water. However, the Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, had some neighbours from Al-Ansâr (the original people of Medina), and they had milk animals. They used to send milk to the Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, and he used to make us drink!” Muslim

Anas said about him: “The Prophet, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, never ate at a dining table until he died nor did he ever eat well-baked thin bread until he died.” Al-Bukhari

Sahl ibn Sa’d, may Allaah be pleased with him, said, “The Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, did not see sifted bread since Allaah Almighty sent him until he took his soul”. He was asked, “Did the people have (use) sieves during the lifetime of the Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him?” Sahl said, “The Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, never saw (used) a sieve since Allaah sent him as an Messenger until He took him unto Him.” He was said, “How could you eat barley un-sifted?” He said, “We used to grind it and then blow off its husk, and after the husk flew away, we used to prepare the dough (bake) and eat it.” Al-Bukhari

(Muslim)

Anas ibn Malik, may Allaah be pleased with him, narrated that Abu Talha said to Um Sulaim, “I have noticed feebleness in the voice of the Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, which I think, is caused by hunger. Have you got any food?” She said, “Yes.” She brought out some loaves of barley and took out a veil belonging to her, she wrapped the bread in part of it and put it under my arm and wrapped part of the veil round me and sent me to the Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him. I went carrying it and found the Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, in the Mosque sitting with some people. When I stood there, the Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, asked, “Has Abu Talha sent you?” I said, “Yes”. He asked, “With some food? I said, “Yes.” The Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, then said to the men around him, “Get up!” He set out (accompanied by them) and I went ahead of them till I reached Abu Talha (and told him of the Prophet’s visit). Abu Talha said, “O Um Sulaim! The Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, is coming with the people and we have no food to feed them.” She said, “Allaah and His Messenger know better.” So Abu Talha went out to receive the Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him. Abu Talha and the Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, came along until they entered the house. The Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, said, “O Um Sulaim! Bring whatever you have.” She brought that bread which Allaah’s Messenger ordered to be broken into pieces. Um Sulaim poured on them some butter from an oilskin. Then the Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, recited what Allaah wished him to recite, and then said, “Let ten persons come (to share the meal).” Ten persons were admitted; they ate their fill and went out. Then he said, “Let ten persons come (to share the meal).” They were admitted, ate their fill and went out. Then he again said, ‘‘Let ten persons come (to share the meal)” They were admitted, ate their fill and went out. Then he said, “Let another ten persons come.” In short, all of them ate their fill, and they were eighty men.” [Agreed upon]

It is reported that Aisha, may Allaah be pleased with her, said, “When the Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, died nothing which can be eaten by a living creature was left on my shelf except a half of barley grain. I ate from it for a long period and when I measured it, it finished.” [Agreed upon] At-Tirmidhi said, “a half of barley grain” means some barley grain”

Anas, may Allaah be pleased with him, said, “The Prophet, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, mortgaged his armor for barley. Once I took barley bread with some dissolved fat on it to the Prophet, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, and I heard him saying, “The household of Muhammad did possess not anything but a sâ’ for both the morning and the evening meals, although they are nine houses.” Al-Bukhari

The hardship the Prophet Mohammad went through :

1-‘ 30. And (remember) when the disbelievers plotted against you (O Muhammad ) to imprison you, or to kill you, or to get you out (from your home, i.e. Makkah); they were plotting and Allaah too was planning, and Allaah is the Best of the planners.’ Al-Anfaal

‘40. If you help him (Muhammad ) not (it does not matter), for Allaah did indeed help him when the disbelievers drove him out, the second of two, when they (Muhammad  and Abu Bakr ) were in the cave, and he said to his companion (Abu Bakr ): "Be not sad (or afraid), surely Allaah is with us." Then Allaah sent down His Sakinah (calmness, tranquillity, peace, etc.) upon him, and strengthened him with forces (angels) which you saw not, and made the word of those who disbelieved the lowermost, while it was the Word of Allaah that became the uppermost, and Allaah is All-Mighty, All-Wise.’ At-tawbah

2- ‘Urwa ibn Az-Zubair, may Allaah be pleased with him, said, “I asked Abdullah ibn Amr ibn Al-&’Acs about the worst thing which the pagans did to the Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him. He said, “[While the Prophet was praying in the Hijr of the Ka’ba;] ‘Uqba ibn Abu Mu’ait came and took the Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, by the shoulder and put his garment around his neck and squeezed it violently. Abu Bakr came and caught him by his shoulder and pushed him away from the Messenger of Allaah, prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him, and said, “{Would you kill a man because he says: My Lord is Allâh, and he has come to you with clear signs (proofs) from your Lord?}” Al Bukhari
Narrated `Abdullah: While Allaah's Messenger  was prostrating (as stated below). Narrated `Abdullah bin Mas`ud: Once the Prophet  was offering prayers at the Ka`ba. Abu Jahl was sitting with some of his companions. One of them said to the others, "Who amongst you will bring the Abdominal contents (intestines, etc.) of a camel of Bani so and so and put it on the back of Muhammad, when he prostrates?" The most unfortunate of them got up and brought it. He waited till the Prophet prostrated and then placed it on his back between his shoulders. I was watching but could not do any thing. I wish I had some people with me to hold out against them. They started laughing and falling on one another. Allaah's Messenger  was in prostration and he did not lift his head up till Fatima (Prophet's daughter) came and threw that (camel's Abdominal contents) away from his back. He raised his head and said thrice, "O Allaah! Punish Quraish." So it was hard for Abu Jahl and his companions when the Prophet invoked Allaah against them as they had a conviction that the prayers and invocations were accepted in this city (Mecca). The Prophet  said, "O Allaah! Punish Abu Jahl, `Utba bin Rabi`a, Shaiba bin Rabi`a, Al-Walid bin `Utba, Umaiya bin Khalaf, and `Uqba bin Al Mu'it  (and he mentioned the seventh whose name I cannot recall). By Allaah in Whose Hands my life is, I saw the dead bodies of those persons who were counted by Allaah's Messenger  in the Qalib (one of the wells) of Badr ‘. Al Bukhari

Aisha Said ‘ to the Messenger of Allaah (prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him): “O Messenger of Allaah, has there come upon you a day more worst than the day of Uhud?” He said: “I have experienced from your people, and the hardest treatment I met from them was what I received from them on the day of Al-Aqaba. I betook myself to Ibn Abd Yalayl ibn Abd Kulal (with the purpose of inviting him to Islam), but he did not respond to me as I desired. So I departed with signs of (deep) distress on my face. I did not recover until I reached Qarn Al-Tha’âlib, where I raised my head, lo! near me was a cloud which had cast its shadow on me. I looked and lo! There was in it the angel Jibrîl (peace be upon him) who called out to me and said: Allaah has heard what your people have said to you, and how they have reacted to your call. And He has sent to you the angel in charge of the mountains so that you may order him what you wish (him to do) with regard to them. The angel in charge of the mountains (then) called out to me, greeted me and said: O Muhammad, Allaah has listened to what your people have said to you. I am the angel in charge of the mountains, and your Lord has sent me to you so that you may order me what you wish. If you wish I could close down on them Al-Akhshabayn? (two mountains in Makkah). But the Messenger of Allaah (prayers and peace of Allaah be upon him) said to him: I rather hope that Allaah will produce from their descendants who worship Allaah, alone, and do not ascribe partners to Him.

O Allaah, Lord of Gabriel, and Michael, and Israfil, the Creator of the heavens and the earth, Who knowest the unseen and the seen; Thou decidest amongst Thy servants concerning their differences. Guide me with Thy permission in the divergent views (which the people) hold about Truth, for it is Thou Who guidest whom Thou wilt to the Straight Path.

Not a word does he (or she) utter, but there is a watcher by him ready (to record it)
